Comment by helen — April 28, 2008 @ 8:06 am
Helen, for Sagada first timers, I recommend that you go on tour with a guide.
Comment by Angel — May 11, 2008 @ 12:10 pm
Cool! I went to Sagada and Batad last semester. It was really fun, although tiring. I saved a lot of photos and interview clips with the people there.
You could use it if you want.

hi, i was wondering if you could advise us on a possible itenerary to sagada from tuguegarao city on june and/or july. We are very much interested in touring and exploring sagada. hope you could help us on this. thank you very much!
Comment by Roch — May 17, 2008 @ 10:22 am
Ahm, we haven’t actually tried a Tuguegarao-Sagada trip, but having been to Tuguegarao, I would suggest caving in Cagayan since there are lots of explorable caves in that province, in Peñablanca to be exact, with varying difficulties - Callao Cave, Jackpot Cave, Odessa-Tumbali Cave System and San Carlos Cave. Try a also a banca ride in Mororan River and see thousands of bats fly out from Callao Cave at around 6 pm. Visit also Portabaga Falls in Sta. Praxedes, Black & Fine Sand Beaches, The Oldest Bell in Southeast Asia located in Camalaniugan’s San Jacinto de Polonia Parish. Then go to Kalinga and try white water rafting in Chico River before heading to Sagada.
Haha! Sorry, my suggestion sounds insane

your site is great!!! my friends and i are planning to go to sagada….single’s getaway for all time sake before one of us get married. but the thing is we dont know where to start on making this trip posssible, you think you could help us by guiding us where to go and what is the best way to go there. we want it to be an adventure so we’ll be commuting. thanks a lot!!! hope to hear from you soon.
Comment by carissa — July 2, 2008 @ 12:09 pm
This site reminds of me of my camping trip to Sagada a few years back. The trip from Baguio to Sagada was in itself an adventure. Got many of personal firsts on that visit: first rappel over a tower and cliff, first time to enter such a huge cave (i think they call it the “big foot!?), and of course the very tiring hike to the big falls but it offered us a grand adventure. The inviting waters made us forget that we need to reserve energy for the uphill climb back from the falls and the return hike was ****ing hell!
But the best experience was just sitting down near the mountain cliff at the Echo Valley and silently looking at how God has truly blessed us.
Guys, thanks for this site and for rekindling the fond memories of my favorite place on Earth! Been to other places and in other countries but all failed to replace Sagada in my heart! Kudos!

I do not recommend MRS. BUSAING’s TRAVELER’s INN. It is not a good place to stay. ROOMS are not OKAY! THE HOST, JULIA BUSAING IS A BITCH!

Actually me and my bf is planning to go Baguio this july 27, and then i woke up this morning and i thought of proceeding to Sagada after a night sleep in Baguio.(I have been going to Baguio many times, and I havn’t been in Sagada yet). I’m planning a 3day out of town trip, i go home to manila monthly, my mom lives in manila while my dad lives here in Mindanao. Could you guys suggest of a best place for a romantic couple(inns/lodge)??? I will spend 7 days in Luzon and be back here in Mindanao, I wish to maximize my time…
please suggest and help my Sagada trip unforgettable…
hope to love Sagada, Caz last time we went to Vigan, i was very disappointed, Vigan didn’t meet my expectations….. :,(

For Alexander:
If “romantic” is what you’re looking for then you will definitely won’t be disappointed visiting Sagada. Every nook and corner of the place is simply romantic.
Have a “sweet” travel to Sagada!

took cable tour in going to bontoc last aug 15.
departure was late for .30 mins just bcuz we have to wait for 1 pax ang kapal ng mukha nya) from there nag kamalas malas na trip namin. the ac broke down sa nlex pa lang then we had a flat tire in sta rita. by the time we reached nueva ecija nag ka electrical problem naman so cable tours have decided that we switch bus with the bus that is headed back to mnl. while waiting we were ask to disembark the bus and we just waited on the side of the road with our bge. they are very unprofessional and will not take and recommend cable tours.

Sagada, sagada, you’ll always be mine…
Hello everyone!
I’m Kyut (Makneg) Villarca, an environementalist, and obsessed in Sagada. I’ve been there way back on 2003, twice, the first one is October and last is Dec. 2003 (celebrating a very cold xmas on that paradise).
I would like to ask if anyone of you know the name of the hotel or inn beside the municipal hall, (not the igorot inn) the house beside the jail of the hall? it is owned by Mrs. Rose Camtugan, i stayed there and they are my foster family. I would like to know if anyone of you is in Sagada right now, and help me to ask their number because I lost my cellphone and i don’t have a contact with them. Im planning to go back again in Sagada this Xmas vacation. Pls help me guys… just tell them that it’s me Kyut from Manila who stayed on their care last 2003.
Thanks!

hi guys…thank u for sharing lots of information about sagada..i went there alone but met 3 amazing and fun fellow mindanaons from cagayan de oro city..we stayed syempre kina tita mary..we really enjoyed the place, the food…somehow its really expensive if you don’t cook your own food but i would suggest you go to cuisina igorota for those planning to go there and looking for cheap meals..pwede hatiin hanggang dinner kasi ang dami for P80. and tita mary’s accommodation is around P200 when we were there last week…p50 for the jeep from bontoc to sagada…cuisina igorota is at the back of the hospital and you can also inquire them to if they knew someone willing to wash clothes..it was cheaper there than at the laundry-i-forgot-the-name because they charged your per clothing while there they sort of weigh it…thank you for your wonderful site..it is truly a place to go back again and again…..

ahhmmm. I am planning to go to SAGADA alone. How can you connect me to people who are also planning to visit the place? I tried to read your site and found that it’s not really practical to visit alone. My sole purpose is just to get away from hassles in the city… I want to go on a Saturday…
