Going to Sagada during the rainy season

June is the beginning of the rainy season and if you believe the the PAGASA’s announcements, summer is officially over and we could all look forward to our usual smattering of typhoons. Since it’s impossible to predict the probability of rain weeks in advance, I advise travelers to Sagada to keep looking at weather reports and forecasts. Buses to Sagada will still go regardless of what storm signal is raised as long as roads are still passable.

Happy (and safe) travels, everyone!

  4. Going to Sagada this Friday night, Aug 20th and going back to Manila on Monday morning, Aug 23rd. Who’s up for a rainy season walk in the mountains?

  5. We just came from Sagada (August 16-19). There is a landslide in one of the towns of Mt. Province, going to Sagada, so we had to detour (with heavy backpacks) though the fields and pass through 2 hanging bridges and transfer to another bus. Quite scary if you have fear of heights. But going back to Baguio City, the road is already ok, no more walking through the fields with the heavy bags. But make sure to ask your bus conductor if there are any landslide along the way. Maybe you could opt to take the Bontoc route.

  6. Make sure you also check newsflash on tv to check for possible landslides on the roads.
