Accomodation: Traveler’s Inn

Another affordable inn to spend the night in while in Sagada is Traveler’s Inn. The darkly-lacquered walls give the inn a very homey feel. The interiors are very dark and you could literally smell the wood in all its glory. It looks and feels like a cabin from the inside. Inside the rooms though, it’s a totally different story. Rooms are well-lit and are reasonably cozy. The rates are very affordable. I was able to refer four people (a group of doctors) to Traveler’s Inn during a time when Residential Lodge had no vacancies.

They were able to get a room for 200/head/night. I’m not sure if this rate still holds, but given the competition in Sagada, it’s almost sure that the rate is pretty much at this level for just about everyone. The inn is very close to the town center and is also just a few steps away from Yoghurt House, Residential Lodge and George Guest House.

  1. I would just like to share this not so good experience with Mrs. Julia Busaing. I got her information through this site.

Here is what happened to us. We text her asking for reservation since the residential inn and george guest house were already fully booked since its a long weekend. She confirmed that there is available rooms in traveller’s inn through text and was asked to look for her when we get there.

When we get to travellers inn and claimed our reservation, she said that it is not in traveller’s inn.. instead its a trancient house which is located 500Km more from traveller’s inn. What’s worse, it is not located along the street. We need to treck more to get to the house because its in top of a hill.

We tried to ask her what happened since its so difficult to look for other options because its peak season. She gave us 3 types of reasons. 1.She forgot to text us that it a trancient house. 2.We have reservation but those people staying on the suppose to be our room do not want to leave. 3.She accepts accomodation and just look for trancient house for these people. What’s more, she threaten us that since there’s a lot of people who came in that weekend, we cannot get any other rooms.

We were very disappointed to this event. The half day that we were suppose to enjoy was spent in looking for accomodation. We end up staying to Alibama Inn. The people are nice. The room is good for 5 but we just beg for extra bed since we were 7. They understand our situation and accomodated us.

  11. Jing, sorry to hear about your experience with Julia Busaing. It is indeed unfortunate but it’s probably a mistake because they were so busy. Acutally, I’ve been to the Traveller’s Inn. It is true that it sort of dark but when you get to the rooms, it’s a different story. They have nice and cozy rooms, and at 200p a night it’s not bad at all. I’m not defending Julia because she’s my cousin but it’s because they do have a nice place for the money you pay. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, sorry to tell you, there’s no Hilton or Hyatt in Sagada.

  12. i dont think jing was complaining about the rooms nor the hotel itself… (no need to compare it with hyatt or hilton), it was the unfortunate event that they encountered while they were making the reservations with your cousin, julia busaing na naka bad trip sa kanila.
