Further proving that Sagada offers treats that may be considered novel elsewhere in the country, Sagada Lemon Pie House surprises unsuspecting tourists with its fare of unconventional desserts and pastries. The restaurant is owned by Joseph and Katrina Daoas and the original recipe was actually from Joseph’s mother. After years of perfecting the recipe, countless orders from places far and wide, the couple decided to open their own restaurant to further showcase their unique product.
Sagada has an undeniably bohemian feel about it but the Lemon Pie House further reinforces this by opening its doors to the town’s local musicians and artists. The restaurant is a few minutes’ walk from the town center - it’s all down hill so don’t worry.
The prices are as follows:
Lemon Pies: P18.00/slice - P140.00/pan
Egg Pies: P20.00/slice - P150.00/pan
Brewed Coffee: P20.00/cup
Mountain Tea: P15.00/cup
Sagada Lemon Pie House is also one of the few Sagada establishments with their own website. Visit their page and view the neat video feature that Wencel Angeles of Biyaheng Pinoy made.

benj, many tourist found the new LPH to be very intriguing, some would say controversial, and i even talked to someone and she used the word “phenomena” to describe it. we are planning to have another big jamming night maybe sometime on may, 2008. so please keep on visiting the LPH blog at sagadalemonpiehouse.blogspot.com
once again, thank you to those that came.

LPH is so intriguing, I will definitely drop by there once I go back to Sagada. And by the way, are the owners (Daoas) related to Tita Mary?
Comment by Angel — March 24, 2008 @ 3:40 pm
yes, joseph daoas is a brother to william daoas, owner of the residential lodge, and also the husband of mary daoas. we are planning on having a majot launching on may, probably on the 2nd. we are trying to contact some local artists in manila to perform at the LPH.

Lemon Pie House had the warmest service in Sagada. I was a bit disappointed with the popular Yoghurt House.
