Just got back last night from Sagada. When I read the negative comments about Yoghurt house, my friends and I got curious and decided to have one of our meals there… that was a late lunch after a trek to the big falls. Tired, cold (it was drizzling in Sagada for the most part of the day), and hungry, we ordered for the set meal for 4, costing 1.1k. We tried to keep mum as much as possible, asking no questions, avoiding not to offend them, kasi nga suplado “daw” sila sa mga locals, lalo na pag dami tanong. Aba, nakarinig pa kami from the male attendant. Something to the effect na he was asking us but we didn’t answer outright. Eh di siya narinig eh! Kainit ng ulo! Pero okay lang kung masarap food…wait, the soup tasted yummy, kasi gutom kami hehehe, but come chopsuey at baked chix, both were a disappointment. Wala sahog chopsuey, pinalasa lang ng cubes or vetsin siguro, baked chixtuyot…mukhang matagal na frozen and tasted dry, rubbery. Worst, puro puwet ng chix ang part na ni-serve. Fruit yoghurt..hmmm..perfect with banana, mapait ung apple na kasama. But the mashed potato was a real treat. Masarap! So that’s our experience! Soup and mashed potato for 1.1k. Paglabas namin, wala ka maririnig na thank you…dedma. Ok, fine. Sana mabasa ng mga taga Yoghurt House ito or i-relay ng administator, and Mgt start improving on service to the locals. Kung hinde, little by little, mawawalan sila ng customer na di nila mamamalayan, kasi ung “delicious food advantage” nila, nawawala na din. I will never eat there again. Try nyo na lang Cafe St. Joe, sa St. Joseph’s Inn. Nice ambiance, setting, and cheap.

masarap naman ang food nila (yung nasubukan na namin ha). kaya lang di sila gaanong marunong ngumiti. kumain na lang kami sa strawberry fastfood sa taas the following day. very affordable at warm ang service.

Whew! I’ve been here and their food was great! been planning to go back soon! They have a cool dining place too although small but accomodating…

I love yoghurt house too!
Visit them so you could taste their savory food..
Don’t mind about those comments,, we live in a democratic country so thats it…

Benj here - ya know, the owner and author of this site.

I haven’t had any bad experience with Yoghurt House. None of my friends have reported any untoward incidents as well.

Having yoghurt in YH is one of the things that I look forward to the most whenever I go to Sagada. The staff is also quite nice and accommodating. We requested for breakfast during dinner service and they were more than willing to honor our special request. :p

I love Yoghurt House.
The people who posted comments had different IP adresses. I dunno how posting at the same time could lead someone to conclude that they were one and the same person. LOL

hi to RIZ, TRISTAN, JOJO, KARLA, KIM and most especially TO DENNIS AVELLANO, if you dont like their service, just dont go there, ok…they dont really need tourists like you…browse the whole website, you will see my name in the other threads…ooops you forgot to mention, my first in this thread was on June 2, 2008, 8:30am.
And FYI, just got here in Sagada, will go to Yoghurt House later to order my favorite meal.

i just find these comments weird. isn’t it weird that these comments were made at the same time of the day? all these were posted between 10am and 11am? tapos every other day pa and comment, and yung iba naman, minutes lang ang difference on the time they were posted. would it be possible that the comments posted by RIZ, TRISTAN, JOJO, KARLA, KIM, and ANNA A, were just posted by the same person?

now my point is and i will say it again, yoghurt house and all the other establishments in sagada are depending to the tourists. give us better service, before it’s too late.

let’s just admit it, there is no more room for improvement for yoghurt house. even people from there do not admit that they are lacking something. the thing is, 50% of all these comments are quite negative. it’s really bad for the business. customer makes the business run. you give bad service and less people will go there. anna, just be nice to your customers, okay?

For those who are commentng negatively about Y.house, please stay in Sagada for a while so you would know why you are very wrong at how you reacted previously. People in Sagada are not used to how we do it in Manila, well i think not only in Sagada, i think this applies to other places too. When in Sagada, do what the Sagadians do.
