If you’ve done a decent amount of reading and research, you would know by now that there’s no way that you could go to Sagada on a day trip. The travel time from the other heavily traveled towns and cities (Banaue and Sagada) makes it virtually impossible to make much in 24 hours – the trip back and forth would take 24 hours! Buses leave Baguio at 630AM and the earliest it arrives in Sagada is around 1PM. Since the buses from Sagada to Baguio, you only have a little over a day to experience Sagada.
Given this predicament, here’s my buzzer-beating, not-a-dull-moment itinerary to make the most out your tight schedule: (more…)

Another affordable inn to spend the night in while in Sagada is Traveler’s Inn. The darkly-lacquered walls give the inn a very homey feel. The interiors are very dark and you could literally smell the wood in all its glory. It looks and feels like a cabin from the inside. Inside the rooms though, it’s a totally different story. Rooms are well-lit and are reasonably cozy. The rates are very affordable. I was able to refer four people (a group of doctors) to Traveler’s Inn during a time when Residential Lodge had no vacancies.
They were able to get a room for 200/head/night. I’m not sure if this rate still holds, but given the competition in Sagada, it’s almost sure that the rate is pretty much at this level for just about everyone. The inn is very close to the town center and is also just a few steps away from Yoghurt House, Residential Lodge and George Guest House.
