I may not understand what you, GEORGE GUESTHOUSE staffers throw on me. bUt here's one thing; i will not be stopped at sharing the RIGHT EXPERIENCE I HAD AT YOUR DESPICABLE INN. And if you want to defend the Inn as a person who wants to show a good image of it, then BE ONE WITH A GOOD IMAGE FIRST. Instead of criticizing me for my comment, why not concentrate on :
1) having your staffers trained PROPERLY;
2) having your inn repaired generally;(bygosh with all the comments on the internet about your rooms, couldnt that be enough? or maybe in your case, it's not.)
3) get yourself a GOOD COOK!
4) Having your INN Inspected by a SANITARY PERSONNEL

You do not want to irk your guests and would-be guests with that trashy disposition. If you don't agree with my criticism that your linens are old and smelly, then let the guests speak instead of you being on the violent defensive.

AS A FORMER GUEST, (and will never be again, thanks to your comment!)I HAVE THE RIGHT TO CRITICIZE and COMMENT! FOr that,I WiLl JUST BOOK MYSELF AT ANOTHER MORE CLEANER INN LIKE THE ROCK INN OR OLAHBINAN FOR THAT MATTER>

I heard ST. Joseph Resthouse is a good place to stay because it is in the town center and every place is accessible. I wonder why it is not included in the list? I want to stay there, though. Please give me some info about the resthouse.. thanks!

We stayed at George's Guesthouse last Saturday, April 10, 2010 because our friend made reservations for all 10 of us. We had reserved 2 rooms for 2 couples and 2 rooms good for three. The reservation was done more than two weeks before we arrived.

When we came in, around 11am. We just left our things in the back room as the rooms are still being cleaned and some guests were just about to check out. So we started out for lunch and went around knowing that there will be a place to rest our weary bodies later in the evening.

We came back after dinner at the Log Cabin a little before 9pm. The key to one of the rooms (Red Room) we are to occupy was nowhere to be found. Finally, they decided to use the spare key and we went up only to be dismayed because the Red Room didn't look like the cozy room they told us we will have. There was no tv in it and worst, the door to the bathroom was practically dangling! Both hinges were only held by a screw each! There was no shower head but a faucet with a pail and a dipper.

After talking with the personnel, my friends were told to just look for another lodging as they cannot give us another room by one named Dora. I did not join in the discussion as it was my friend who reserved the rooms who talked to them. As there was no available room, the ones who stayed in the Red Room was my friend who reserved the rooms for us and we ended up using the White room. It was only for a night anyway but the way the staff talked to my friends were so infuriating.

There should be some seminar required for those who are operating lodging inns so that their personnel will know how to deal with their guests.

The local government tourism office should do its job by inspecting the lodging inns and making sure they have trainings for the staff to ensure that tourists will have a pleasant stay in their establishments.

My friend took photos of the Red Room and the living room on the second floor and you can see how the state of the rooms were that Saturday night.

the place is not as good as often talked about.the room given us has two beds cramped up in one tiny room, no tables, and a horrible- smelling toilet. the view deck is only a meter wide. Linens are old and less tended.(and smelled like somebody else's perfume, like a guest before us). And beware, the hotel management tend to charge you for plenty of things from towel change, to kitchen fee of 100 pesos for heating your food, and for a so-so bland lunch.
